I met Nathan in early November. He e-mailed me and asked if I wanted to grab a beer. He knocked on my door at 11:30. I remember he was tall, alone, and had a cool French accent. We stayed up til 5 just talking. We had more than one beer. The next day he played me a song he wrote. I'm not usually confident in collaborating with people but something told me to make a record with this kid. He ended up staying in Philadelphia for five weeks. Every day we would write, drink, record, and eat butter. I mean a lot of fucking butter. We spent Thanksgiving in the Poconos with family. Nathan continued his trip then flew back to France. We finished this record. It's about tea, and love, and hunting.

This is the most interesting album from the discography Heading into a more country/kind of experimental direction, this project plays with it's sounds every which way it can Lots of pianos and violins on this one, which I'm usually not a fan of, but I believe it's the way they're arranged which makes this album an exception I like to think of this as "dad's childhood in the rural area and also watched old horror movies" 8/10 acid_trasj
